Rook's Rest Room for the Crew | Fenced Yard + Near the AT

Bring the family, the friends, the kids — and the dogs. Rooks Rest is a roomy, easygoing mountain home with plenty of space for a group to gather, spread out and settle in after a day exploring the mountains around Hot Springs.

The layout works especially well for families and groups. Two queen bedrooms are on one end of the house, along with a full bath and a second living room with a gas fireplace. On the opposite end, a bunk room with six twin beds has a full bathroom nearby. In between is the heart of the house: an open kitchen, dining area and comfortable den with plenty of seating for everyone.

The kitchen is well stocked for feeding a crowd, and multiple tables throughout the house give you room for meals, games, puzzles or projects. You'll also find books and games, TVs in each bedroom, a large Google TV in the den, reliable fiber Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer.

Outside, enjoy a fully fenced yard with a firepit — especially nice when the dogs come along — or head to the partially screened back porch for a meal from the propane grill.

Rooks Rest is about 15 minutes from downtown Hot Springs, along a scenic mountain byway through National Forest. Garenflo Gap and the Appalachian Trail are about 5 minutes away, Spring Creek Nature Trail about 10 minutes, and Max Patch about 30 minutes. Rafting trips on the French Broad River are available from local outfitters. We love offering recommendations for area activities.

Traveling with an even bigger crew? Golden Bluff, a separate 3-bedroom cabin about 20 yards away, can also be rented. Together, the two homes can accommodate up to 18 guests, with special pricing available when booking both.

A note about the setting: Rooks Rest and Golden Bluff share a larger property and driveway, and the neighboring cabin is visible from the back side of Rooks Rest. The homes have separate outdoor living areas, and Rooks Rest's fenced yard and firepit face away from the cabin. Beyond the two rentals, the property has a wooded setting with no close residential neighbors.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $40.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. Grace period with free cancellation (no cancellation fees or partial refunds possible) for 12 hours after booking if arrival is at least 4 days away at time of booking.
